HubSpot updates November 2022

We have once again reviewed the latest HubSpot updates and gathered the most important ones in this blog post. This month we're especially thrilled to discuss the HubSpot CRM updates, such as the new feature that allows you to add line items when creating deals in workflows. Cut out the manual tasks and take a step towards managing your entire sales process in HubSpot! Marketing & CMS Hub

Customer Journey Analytics (BETA) 

• What is it about: Mix and match touchpoints with lifecycle stage changes for comprehensive customer journey analytics.
• What are the benefits: With this brand new analytic tool you can filter customer journey touchpoints, such as page views or marketing email actions to see the average time it takes for contacts to get from one step to another. The update is currently in BETA and will be available for Marketing Hub Enterprise users.

Social Monitoring on Mobile

• What is it about: View how the posts published via HubSpot are performing on your mobile phone.
• What are the benefits: Another cool update on the HubSpot mobile app! This update is definitely a long awaited one along the marketers and content managers. With HubSpot's mobile app you can now visualize the metrics of the published posts and also deep dive into the engagement details to gather more detailed insights of your social posts. The update is available for Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise users.

Business Units limit increase to 100

• What is it about: HubSpot has increased the number of business units limit from 50 to 100.
• What are the benefits: As companies using HubSpot have grown and larger customers have adopted HubSpot as their CRM suite of choice, HubSpot has pushed to increase the business units limit in a single hub beyond the previous limit of 50. The update is available for Marketing Hub Enterprise users.

Sales & Service Hub

Limit Editing Access in Selected Pipeline Stages 

• What is it about: Limit the editing access of deal records in selected pipeline stages for super admins only.
• What are the benefits: Once a pipeline stage is set to “Limited to Super Admins” all deal records entering or already in that stage can only be edited by super admins. All other users will have read-only access to those deal records, including moving a deal record from the selected, “locked” stage into another stage. The update is available for Sales Hub Pro and Enterprise users.

Pipelines Display Preferred Currency

• What is it about: Edit your board view to show your pipeline’s total amount in your chosen currency in HubSpot.
• What are the benefits: This feature comes in handy when you’re, for example, working in Finland for a U.S. based company and you work in currency that’s different from your company’s currency. Edit the board view to show your pipeline’s totals and weighted totals in the currency of your choice. Please note that you can only select currencies that are already set up in your company’s HubSpot account. The update is available for all Sales Hub users from Starter and up.

Custom Ticket Stages in Customer Portal 

• What is it about: HubSpot users can now display more detailed custom ticket stage information in the customer portal.
• What are the benefits: Instead of labelling the ticket stages with “open” and “closed” you can now add more detailed custom ticket stages to help end users get better visibility of their ticket status. This is definitely a practical example of how good customer experience is created. The update is available for Service Hub Pro and Enterprise users.

Operations Hub

Owner Sync

• What is it about: HubSpot is adding a new default field mapping to several data sync apps to allow keeping record owners in sync.
• What are the benefits: A new field mapping is available for some object syncs. Turn on the mapping  in the field mapping section of your sync settings. The update is available for all HubSpot users.

CRM & Integrations

Add Line Items when Creating Deals in Workflows 

• What is it about: Add line items to the deals you’re creating within workflows.
• What are the benefits: With this new update you can cut out unnecessary manual tasks and spend more time on your actual business. By adding line items when creating deals in workflows we’re also one step closer to managing the full sales process in HubSpot. The update is available for all HubSpot users from Starter and up. 

Limit Login to trusted IPs

• What is it about: Limit login to your portal to only for the allowed IP range.
• What are the benefits: This new feature allows admins to limit HubSpot user access to specific login location using IP addresses or IP ranges. You can now block logins from outside your company network, VPN, or allow a list of device IPs and restrict any unauthorized access. The update is available for all HubSpot users.

Other updates

Standard Sandboxes

• What is it about: HubSpot is renaming the current Sandboxes to Standard Sandboxes.
• What are the benefits: As HubSpot is introducing the new Development Sandboxes, they’re also renaming the current Sandboxes to Standard Sandboxes in order to avoid confusion. The new name will be visible to all HubSpot Enterprise users.

Audit log of users security actions in-app (BETA)

• What is it about: With the new UI super admins can view an audit log of security-related actions that users have taken into account. 
• What are the benefits: Previously this information was available as an export-only feature, meaning that users had to download a new CSV file every time a super admin needed to review up-to-date data. Now all data can be viewed in HubSpot. The update is currently in beta and will be available for all HubSpot users.
